Having bought the Vizada communications distributor from Apax France, the French arm of the private equity investor, in 2011, for US$960 million, in December, Airbus Defence and Space, announced that it was selling back the firm to Apax. The fim, now known as the Airbus Mobile Communcations Satellite division, is primarily involved in selling Inmarsat communications capacity. Details of the sale, which is subject to regulatory approval, were not disclosed.
