Electron launches CE-Sat-2B and nine “Super Dove” satellites as part of Flock-4e’ batch

A Rocket Lab Electron launch vehicle launched the CE-Sat-2B earth observation satellite for the Japanese Canon Electronics firm.  The launch also carried nine of Planet’s Flock-4e’ earth observation cubesats into orbit.  The launch took place from the Mahia Peninsula in New Zealand at 2121 GMT on 28 October 2020. The launch was the 15th flight of the Electron to orbit. This launch took the satellites into a Sun-syncronous low Earth orbit of circa 525 x 504km orbit inclined at 97.5 degrees relative to the equator.
