Earth observation satellite operator, Planet, has signed a contract with SpaceX for the launch of their six remaining Skysat satellites, Skysats 16-18 and Skysats 19-21. They will be launched as co-payloads as two separate batches on two Falcon 9 launches carrying Starlink satellites as their main payloads in 2020. While the original first 15 satellites in the Skysat constellation were launched into near polar Sun-syncronous low Earth orbit, these six will be placed into low Earth orbits inclined at 53 degrees realtvie to the equator to provide more regular service over major populated areas.
