After a slight delay due to upper-level winds in the vicinity of the launch site, SpaceX’s Falcon 9 successfully launched 52 Starlink satellites on 10 August at 0214 GMT from the Kennedy Space Center – Eastern Test Range. Less than 9 minutes after the launch, first stage booster B1073 successfully completed its third mission when it landed on the drone barge ‘A Shortfall of Gravitas’ which was stationed in the Atlantic Ocean of the Florida coast. The deployment of all 52 Group 4-26 satellites was later confirmed by SpaceX. The company has now launched over 3000 Starlink satellites into orbit.
Last year SpaceX completed 31 orbital missions. This launch marked the company’s 35 orbital flight of 2022.
