The CubeSat deployment service firm D-Orbit has signed a contract with launch provider Arianespace for the carrying of the D-Orbit ION CubeSat Carrier – a cubesat delivery spacecraft – on a Vega launch.  The mission which is part of the Small Spacecraft Mission Service (SSMS) Proof on Concept flight.

D-Orbit is launching the carrier as part of its IN Orbit NOW service for the delivery of 100kg of cubesat-class spacecraft to different orbital slots over a period of one month.  The flight in 2019 will be to a sun-synchronous 500km orbit.
