A SpaceX operated Falcon 9v1.2FT Block 5 rocket lifted off from pad SLC-40 at Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA at 0731 GMT on 4 May 2023. Aboard the launch were 56 Starlink communications satellites as part of the constellations Group 5-6 heading for their initial drop off point on their way to their low Earth orbit operational position.  The flight took a South westerly track with a small dog leg manoeuvre after its initial flight path was designed to avoid populated areas in the Bahamas etc.  The reusable B1069 first stage on its seventh flight, recovered itself via a safe landing on the drone ship A Shortfall Of Gravitas down range in the Atlantic.
