At 0330 GMT, a Chinese Long March 2C (CZ-2C) rocket lifted-off from the Xichnag Satellite Launch Center, PRC, carrying two secretive experimental satellites. The two spacecraft are only known as XJS-A and XJS-B. They were reportedly built by CAST (Chinese Academy of Space Technology) in order to test new inter-satellite link technology, as well as testing new Earth observation technologies.
The units were inserted into a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) of circa 480 km.
