A Chinese Long March 2C rocket successfully launched the Shi Jian 11-08 spacecraft using a Long March 2C launch vehicle flying out of Jiuquan at 0659 GMT on 27 October 2014. Details about the spacecraft remain sketchy save to note that it was built by China Spacesat Co. Ltd under the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC). The spacecraft is thought to be an experimental early warning satellite.
