GomSpace A/S – a subsidiary of GomSpace Group ABand the UK company Sky and Space Global (UK) Ltd – have signed an amendment to the procurement contract between the parties signed on 28 February 2017. The additional order contains further development to increase the capabilities of the satellites. The total value of the new order is in the range of EUR€13 -15 million and will be delivered according to the procurement contract. First delivery will be in 2018.
Meanwhile Helios Wire Canada have booked a Soyuz launch for their demonstrator spacecraft for their 30 satellite Helios Wire “Internet of Things” communication satellite constellation. The launch is due to take place in December 2018. The company expects to launch the first two spacecraft of the actual constellation in Q3 2018. The launch vehicle for these satellites has not yet been booked.
