At 1241 GMT on 2 April 2022, an Electron KS rocket was successfully launched from the Onenui luanch station in the Mahia Peninsula of New Zealand. The launch carried a pair of BlackSky Global satellites initially into a an elliptical transfer orbit. After a second burn of the upper stage, the satellites were released into a 441 x 430 km low Earth orbit inclined at 53 degrees as part of the BlackSky Earth observation constellation. The launch was dubbed: “Without Mission a Beat” by the Rocket Lab firm.
