Having beaten off its European rivals for the contract, the €350.8 million (US$389 million) construction contract for the European Space Agency ‘s JUICE mission to Jupiter has been finally awarded to Airbus Defence and Space. The mission will be sent to the Jupiter system to study Callisto, Europa and Ganymede as well as the planet Jupiter itself. The launch of the spacecraft will take place on 16 July 2022 probably using an Ariane 5 ECA launch vehicle.
