Announced on 15 October 2020, is the intention of European smallsat manufacturing group, AAC Clyde Space, to purchase USA-based company SpaceQuest. This deal will benefit AAC Clyde as it attempts to expand its presence and market share in the lucrative American market. The deal is valued at US$8.4 million (EUR€7.1 million).
SpaceQuest was founded in 1994 and has produced small satellite buses and components for numerous customers in the space industry. The company also has experience in satellite operations through its network of ground stations and relationship with customer Aprize Satellite.
The transaction will need to be approved by SpaceQuest shareholders and US authorities before its is completed.
