SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9v1.2FT Block 5 from Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA at 2332 GMT on 24 September 2022. The launch vehicle was carrying 52 other Starlink satellites (Group 4-35) for the SpaceX owned communications satellite constellation. The reusable B1073 First stage (on its fourth launch) successfully landed on the drone barge “A Shortfall of Gravitas” which was stationed downrange in the Atlantic Ocean.
The final operational orbit of the satellites, once they have raised themselves from their initial low Earth orbit parking orbit, will be a plane in a 540 km circular orbit inclined at 53.2 degrees.
