The GSLV-D5 of India’s GSLV launch vehicle failed to take place on 19 August from the Sriharokota launch site in India after a propellant leak halted the countdown two hours before lift off. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) confirmed that the planend launch was delayed due to a leak from fuel system of the second stage of the vehicle. All the liquid fuels on the vehicle are to be drained and the vehicle returned to the assembly building to fix the leak. The delayed GSLV launch which will carry the GSAT-14 communications satellite for India is now planned for later in the year.
