Kleos Space has ordered its second four-unit CubeSat cluster from Dutch-manufacturer Innovative Solutions in Space (ISISpace). Kleos is intending to launch a constellation to provide a radio-frequency, geo-location reconnaissance product. This deal will see ISISpace build and manifest the cluster on a SpaceX rideshare launch planned for mid-2021.
ISISpace will also be providing Launch and Early Orbit (LEOP) operations support to Kleos. The contract is valued at EUR€2.1 million (US$2.49 million). Reportedly, a portion of this amount will be paid to ISISpace in the form of interest in the company.
Kleos is waiting for its first four-sat cluster to launch on a much-delayed Indian PSLV mission, currently scheduled for mid-November.
