At 1256 GMT on 24 May 2023, a Soyuz-2-1a rocket was launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome near Tyuratam, Kazakhstan. Aboard was the Progress MS-23 on mission ISS-84P, cargo ship heading with its 2.5 metric ton cargo of food, fuel and other supplies for the International Space Station (ISS). Aboard is also a small Parus-MGTU nanosatellite which will be released from the ISS by spacewalking cosmonauts. It will demonstrate solar sail technologies.
