by | Oct 6, 2017 | Finance, Seradata News

On the 5th October, 2017 MDA Corp announced the successful conclusion of its US$2.4 billion purchase of American Earth imaging company DigitalGlobe Inc. However, this was not the only news released by MDA. They also announced the creation of a new US-company, Maxar Technologies Ltd.

This new company is the result of a rebrand for MDA Corp and consolidation of a comprehensive selection of aerospace and defence products. The new Maxar portfolio includes: SSL – a globally renowned manufacturer of spacecraft platforms for commercial and government customers, MDA – an international supplier of satellite antennas and subsystem components alongside its defence and maritime products, DigitalGlobe – a provider of high-resolution optical Earth imagery and Radiant – which has developed a software platform for the dissemination of geospatial data and analytics.

The Corporate logo of MDA Corp. Unfortunately the corporate livery for the new Maxar Technologies entity will not be released until near the end of the year.
