Analysis and Data: How many launches are left in 2013? (Updated 11 Nov)

by | Oct 30, 2013 | commercial launch services, Satellites | 0 comments

With the last two months of the year nearly upon us, how many launches have there been to date and how many are left?  According to the Flightglobal/Ascend SpaceTrak database there are still 29 rocket launches left on the schedule for the year.  The listing below excludes “secretly planned” launches by China and North Korea.  Some of the planned launches carry many multiples of spacecraft – most notably the upcoming Minotaur 1 and Dnepr 1A launches.  To date there have been 62 orbital attempt launches in 2013. If the future launches occur as planned the grand total would make 2013 a more or less typical launch year.
