China gets remote sensing satellite order from Venezuela

In a turn key deal in which China will both manufacture and launch the spacecraft,  China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) has formally signed an agreement on behalf of its subsidiary China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC) to build a new Earth observation satellite for Venezuela. CGWIC will act as the prime contractor in the deal. China previously built and launched the VRSS-1 remote sensing satellite in 2012.
