According to Space X (Space Exploration Technologies), its new v1.1 version of the Falcon 9 launch vehicle. which has a reconfigured first stage, has had its maiden flight from the Vandenberg launch site delayed from 14 September 2013 by a pad/vehicle interface issue. The fault became apparent during a hot fire test on 12 September. This, and a range clash with some US Air Force missile launches, has delayed the flight until 30 September 2013. The flight is carrying the Cassiope store-forward communications research satellite and six nanosatellites: Cusats 1 and 2, Popacs 1,2 and 3, and Snaps.
