It has been reported that Alphabet Inc. – the recently formed Google parent company – has entered into talks to sell its Earth Imaging business, Terra Bella. Terra Bella, known as Skybox Imaging when it was acquired by Google in June 2014, was bought for US$500m.

A Bloomberg article seems to indicate that rival Earth Imaging company Planet (formerly Planet Labs) is in line to acquire the business.
