Intelsat 21 launched successfully

A Sea Launch Zenit 3SL successfully launched the Intelsat 21 satellite into a geostationary transfer orbit at 0655 GMT on Sunday 19 August. The satellite which uses the Boeing 702MP bus had a launch mass of 5982 kilograms, carries 36 Ku band and 24 C Band transponders to provide communcations services to North and South America.
