Long March 2C rocket launches Shi Jian 11-06 early warning satellite for China

A Long March 2C rocket successfully launched the Shi Jian 11-06 (aka Shijian 11-06) early warning satellite from the Jiuquan launch site in China at 0258 GMT on 31 March 2014.  The 300kg spacecraft which is believed to use a CAST 968 bus built by the DongFangHong Satellite Company is thought to be military in nature and used for electronic surveillance and early warning.   China officially reports the satellite to be an experimental spacecraft.
