The prospective real-time imaging satellite operator OmniEarth LLC has signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with launch arranger Spaceflight Inc for shared launches in conjuction with its planned constellation of 18 satellites. Under the agreement, Spaceflight Inc. which specialises in finding launches for cubesats, nanosats and microsats, will identify launch opportunities and provide associated pre-launch support to OmniEarth. Spaceflight’s has partnerships with prominent launch vehicle providers, such as SpaceX, Orbital Sciences, Roscosmos, and Virgin Galactic.
In a separate development, Spaceflight has announced that it is setting up a new division called Spaceflight Networks, designed to operate small satellites for clients and maintain their communications and data services.
