On a lighter note: Frog legs it from LADEE launch

by | Sep 13, 2013 | History, NASA, On a Lighter Note | 0 comments

NASA has released a still camera image of NASA’s LADEE spacecraft launch on a Minotaur 5 which took place on 7 September 2013.  As the rocket lifts off from the launch pad its at Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia a frog is seen leaping away or being blasted away.

Comment: The condition of the frog is not known.  We hope he did not suffer any blast damage or ingested any of the perchlorate fumes and dust.  For he/she has given the world the most amusing image of a frog since a line of wheelchair bound double-leg-amputee frogs were purportedly seen leaving a Parisian restaurant. 🙂
